Code Description

Code E: Suspended or Excluded

(Authorised Absence)

Code E is used when a pupil cannot attend school because they have been suspended or permanently excluded and suitable alternative education has not yet begun. The missed sessions are recorded as authorised absence while the pupil is legally unable to attend the school.
